I have an older detector and I used it to install it and it held up really great. The only movement was when I hit a lot of bumps and the summer sun hit it causing the detector to slide around 1mm, just a bit and that's only because my daughter's windshield was tilted down, but it held up with no issues , and at least I know that if I buy a new detector I'll just keep using this mount, knowing that it's held tight. Now if I could just get one of them to hold my wife's DVR.
