The exhaust finisher is close to the original. The original has a weave pattern that runs diagonally across the cover sheet, while this is at a 90 degree angle to the edge. However, for what I used it for, it worked pretty well. It's very dry and hot here in southern New Mexico. Maintaining the temperature under the hood goes a long way in keeping the plastic clips and connectors in our engines alive for longer periods of time. I used this to box a stock Camry LE 04 2.4L exhaust. from the origin of the primary elements by wrapping the transducer, flange and flexible coupling around the back of the parking brake handle and stopping just behind the O2 sensor (sensor 2). After polishing the existing SS screen, I put it back on top of the whole thing to mostly protect it from damage. Temperatures under the hood are lower, heat dissipation at the oil pan is lower on both the engine and the automatic transmission, that seems to have given a little more power on top and WOW, that has made the exhaust quieter from the inside of a car ever. I would highly recommend this piece to anyone living in the arid Southwest United States where we don't have to worry about premature exhaust failure because of these types of wraps.
