UPDATE: Great robotic vacuum for hardwood, tile and carpet

. Tile to wood and edges over 1/4 inch. I've included a short video showing the 650 doing just that - through the hardwood and raised guard to the short raised mat, down to the tile, turn around and do the same thing again. Then over the low rug, ledge up, then over the low rug to the tree, to the ledge guard, through the guard to the tile, then slowly into the rug, then back over the ledge to the tree to the docking station. Hope that helps. I love this robot vacuum cleaner - I wish its future cleaners had a self-cleaning unit. It easily picks up dog hair and long human hair - wraps around the roller brush - but is easy to remove and clean the brush. Biner Bin must be cleaned after each use. =============== Review. now more than five years. I ordered this product for a new hardwood floor and low rug/rug for the living room and entryway of my apartment. Arrived the next day. The package was well built. The main carton was in a Revain packing box. [PHOTOS WILL BE ADDED LATER - as needed] Will be updated after a few weeks of use. ---- ADVANTAGES: (1) Handles hardwood floors well and moves from hardwood to carpet easily. (2) Has TWO (2) side brushes (right and left) compared to one side brush on my other vacuums [bobSweep Pro and iRobot Roomba]. (3) Has more power than other brands I own, lasts longer when cleaning than my other models. (4) Has a smaller footprint (2.7 inches) compared to my other vacuums (3.1 and 3.6). (5) Easy-to-open dust box for quick emptying and cleaning. (6) Separate access to HEPA filter above dust box - easy to open and clean. (7) Troubleshooting guide on the bottom of the primary code dust bin. You don't have to search for the user manual to see it. (8) The dust collector has a small wheel guide along the bottom for easy entry and exit from the unit. (9) Easy to install edge brushes that just snap into place; Instead of rotating brushes for my other cleaning products. (10) Quiet, like my bObSweep (maybe a little quieter); much quieter than my iRobot. CONS: (1) The brush is slightly narrower (width) than other brands I own (bObSweep and iRobot). I don't know how this affects the width of the capture area. (2) the dust box is slightly smaller; but big enough for the job. (3) It would be nice to pair with Alexa via Bluetooth. ----About the product Once you open the top of the box you will see the full length cardboard over the contents of the box. "QUICK GUIDE" is printed; with (5) clear steps and contact information for customer service. (Nice contact). The package included an instruction manual (Cordey R650), a robot vacuum cleaner and charging base, edge brushes to attach to the vacuum cleaner, a clean brush hair removal tool, a remote control with (2) AAA batteries for the remote control, ( 2) magnetic boundary strips, ( 4) 3M 3-way electronics cleaning pads and fine cloth binding. (Another big surprise is the additional main parts) First, unlike many other reviewers, I took five or six minutes to read the user manual (24 pages), which is full of whitespace and graphics. Place both brushes on the underside of each side of the robot - just snap into place. Dust box and filter compartment opened and checked. I connected the docking station to the wall and placed it on a wooden floor as instructed in the instructions. Turn on the main switch on the bottom of the cleaning robot and place it on the charger as indicated. It squeaked and started blinking orange (charging). Finally, use the remote control (near the air purifier) to set the time on the remote control. Then place the remote control in the holding slot on the docking station. A full charge took about 3 hours. The remote control is easy to use with an adjustable daily timer and multiple cleaning modes. Modes: (1) AUTOMATIC, which uses a reverse motion (maybe a zigzag), then a random pattern, and finally an edge. (2) SPOT clears the localized area by making tight spirals about 3 feet outward and then inward to the origin. (3) EDGE cleans along walls and around furniture legs. (4) A ROOM CLEAN; works for about 30 minutes and then returns to base. (5) LOWER SUCTION reduces vacuum power for lower suction power. I set the machine to AUTO and have the parquet floors in the hallway and living room and the tiles in the kitchen cleaned. He also cleaned the hallway carpet and the 8" x 10" living room carpet, which took just over an hour. I then sent the device back to the base. Easily found and started charging immediately. I emptied the dust bag and was surprised at how much dirt and lint had accumulated in it. It was easy to clean and check the HEPA filter - still clean. I used the schedule button to automatically run the cleaner at 7:00 AM. I ran and automatically returned to base. It worked just as well as using AUTO in my presence. In fact, the carpets seem even cleaner than I did by hand the night before after watching it work. I did this for two days; Works flawlessly. GENERALLY the Corey R650 robot vacuum has worked great and I am happy with this purchase. I would highly recommend this unit for the price and its powerful suction and cleaning power over my other robot vacuums.
