I've just received this chronometer. Seems to be working fine. I use it to set ignitions based on factory points on my 1960's cars. Good device with time display, variable time delay, tachometer, delay, voltmeter, etc. Comfortable to hold. There is no trigger like other timers, but there is an on/off button. The button is in its natural position and the flashing indicator stays on (no need to press the trigger) until you press the button again. A nice feature is the simultaneous display of light delay time with RPM so you can check base time, mechanical advance and vacuum. sales advantage. The sync bursts seemed consistent and steady. Also has a simultaneous display of system battery voltage vs RPM to check charge voltage vs RPM. Includes a light meter so you don't need to connect separate devices to check spot adjustment. The device is equipped with a detachable cable containing an inductive sensor, a coil connector and a +- battery connector. The terminals are a good size for connecting to the battery and coil. The inductive pickup has a plastic cover, so be careful when the exhaust is hot. I recommend connecting the device exactly as specified by the manufacturer in the instructions. The only manual that accompanies the device is the Quick Start Guide. A more complete guide is available on the Innova website. I need to see how this device performs over time. I hope it is reliable and lasts a long time. I've had my old time display for over 30 years and it still works but doesn't have a variable delay feature like this one. Please note that I ordered 5568 but the unit I received is marked 5568a so these comments apply to that version. I recommend this device for those who have point based ignition.
