First of all I have to say that the sound quality of these speakers is good for the price. The sound is clear and personally I feel the bass sounds good through them. I'm not a music lover so I can't judge if the bass is quality or not, but I can say it's clean, has a nice feel and isn't drowned out by high frequencies. These speakers are a bit quiet. It is not necessary that they cannot be loud. Loud noises through them at maximum volume are a bit uncomfortable if you sit nearby. Rather, the lower part of the sound can be muffled even at maximum volume. You might be able to fix this if you mess up the tonal balance, although I haven't personally encountered this issue. I don't think this is a good option for a large room where they are some distance away. It is also worth noting that the cords are glued with a special glue. When you pull the cables apart, they completely separate from each other. I was concerned there would be a limit to how far apart they would be since my audio jack isn't next to the USB slot, but it worked out in the end. All in all, this is a viable option for the price if you're looking for a cheap solution for bringing audio to your desk.
