Good quality Dynema is slippery but the Dynema cord itself is soft and quite flexible. This line has a number of specific problems. At first it looks like they're going to cover it with a very heavy wax. When washing with soap and water in a bucket, a ton of black/dark stuff comes out of the line. Because of the coating, it slips through standard sail grommets. This line is not soft either. The first impression is the same as that of the cheap yellow nylon rope you can buy at the hardware store. It is very stiff, which makes splicing difficult. Overall I am very disappointed with the product. If it is in fact a line made of HDPE or UHMWPE, simplified processes were used in the manufacture. DO NOT buy it for sailing or sailboat racing. Buy the reputable Dyneema brand amsteel line.
