I've only ridden 60 miles in these shorts but the durability and comfort of the lining seems good. I ride some roads, but mostly gravel. Great price if you want multiple shorts for your daily commute. I wear trousers with a waist size of 30 to 32, I have an athletic build and I find the medium size very comfortable. I could probably go short, but I'm curved and muscular so I went for average. Fits well.
