Glad I took the time to write a review on this peeler. What I like is the look and the weight - the grip is a bit narrow for my hand and I have small hands. The handle does not slip when wet. I am so disappointed in the performance of the peeler - the pivoting blade is too loose and will flap back and forth and all over if you move too fast - when trying to run it over the surface of the veggies. You have to stop with each move and carefully plant it back onto the veg - you can't just zip it up. I had a similar peeler (different brand) that allowed me to quickly peel carrots with the movement of the blade. From the looks of this blade it should work the same way, but the loose hinge doesn't allow for any jerking. I used a lot in the first 2 weeks and then threw it in a thrift store charity bag - as I found it too distasteful to return used.
