Such a great tool!: Learning and Behavior Guide

I've had this product for a week now and I have nothing but good things to say about it! I hesitated a few days whether to buy it or not because the price seemed a bit high for such a simple part. Now I know that it is this simplicity that makes this tool so effective! The best money I could spend on my dog! I had my rescued Patterdale Terrier for just under 3 months and quickly found that he was far from perfect. It took me a long time to start solving some of his problems, one by one. Like many dogs he pulls when he goes for a walk. So what have I done as a normal human who needed some quick dog advice? I searched YouTube for videos of Caesar Millan. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I bought the flexi leash two weeks after adopting my dog and he broke it two weeks later. While it was disappointing when I first found out about it, I now see it as a blessing in disguise. After carefully studying YouTube, I noticed similarities in all the videos where the owners had trouble pulling. Most of the owners in these videos had flexi leashes, and the dog always walked in front of the owner, not next to him. All Caesar uses to make changes are hints like this. He never explicitly promotes his lead on his show, but after seeing the immediate increased control with such a simple tool, I decided to search the web and found this. So I thought why not? My dog is 28 pounds so he's not big enough to overwhelm me and drag me for a walk. After the flexi broke I used a regular leash with a hook through the collar. The train problem was still there and it will only get worse when we come across a squirrel. Once we started using this line, it was much more responsive to my corrections. As soon as he gets too far in front of me without even pulling him, I give him a quick, gentle tug and yell "Shh!" and he learned he had to slow down. If he actually pulls and doesn't immediately respond to my corrections, sometimes we'll stop walking altogether until he sits down, calms down, and understands that we're only going to walk at my pace. This leash helped a lot and now there is hardly any tension on the leash when walking. It's hard to believe it's only been a week since I've started using it and I don't think I'll go back to a traditional leash unless absolutely necessary. I would definitely buy this again! And no, no one paid me and no company sent it in for review. Just an ordinary girl so happy to have found something that actually works!
