Review on Dual Probe Digital Touch-Screen Meat Thermometer for Cooking in Oven, Kitchen, BBQ Grill - Alarm Mode | Perfect Gift for Men & Women by Tiffany Smith

Terrible touchscreen

I wanted something that could measure my oven temperature as well as my food temperature. First, the length of the probe cable ranges from a foot to a short length. Mounting the probe on a rack in the center of the oven leaves no room for the receiving unit, which can be placed anywhere other than within a few inches of the oven door. Secondly, the supplied probe holder does not attach to the oven frame. It's easy. So if you pull the probe's cord, the probe will just fall onto the grate. Third, the touchscreen is either too sensitive or not sensitive at all. The product comes with 6 preset temperatures for different types of meat, but if you're trying to set the CUSTOM temperature you want the probe to reach, you'll have to start from zero and tap the touchscreen 200 times to get to 200 degrees. And once you exceed that temperature, there's no way you can go back a few degrees. You have to start from scratch. So if the temperature isn't one of the presets, good luck setting the EASY temperature. Fourth, the screen only lights up for 5 seconds and then goes dark and unreadable until you touch the screen and then you have another 5 seconds. They will click on this screen and curse the creators. Fifth, if you REALLY don't need 2 probes, buy something cheaper, no presets, no touch screen and more of a digital timer.
