I had to buy a Lenovo T510 connect my dell 24 monitor. The monitor has an HDMI connector and the laptop has a DisplayPort connector. I used a standard VGA connection and even at high resolution the images were fuzzy. I bought this cable to improve the display. sharper and cleaner with this connection and I can finally take advantage of a high resolution monitor. I spend a lot of time on my computer both at work and at home so it was worth buying and the price was great too. I couldn't even find this type of cable in big retail stores. I've had a few instances where the monitor's resolution would change to a different resolution after closing and opening the laptop lid. A bit annoying and I didn't see the old VGA connector. But that's not a deal breaker for me. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.
