Disappointing Strength

After searching for the definition of "bonded nylon" I found out that it must be one of the strongest and most wear resistant yarns on the market and bought it specifically for flatlock jeans . as an upper thread for sewing the waist of jeans, making denim shorts from long jeans, and making cell phone pockets in denim shorts. In fabric cutting tests with the new Schmetz stitches, denim or denim needles, the thread snapped and snapped at any tension and speed - even when attempting to sew a 4-ply flatlock seam on denim or attempting to attach denim belt loops when turning the machine. handcrafted wheel. Whether this thread was used just for the top stitch with a different bobbin thread, or both top and bobbin threads were loaded with this knitted nylon thread, the results were the same. The thread also splits Velcro stitching on denim on both sides, on single layer fabrics using one of the 3 new Schmetz needles or universal needles from 80-14 to 90-16. Then, when I used Walmart cotton or cotton-poly thread, loaded top and bottom threads, I had no trouble with any of those tasks. The only job I've found thread for is sewing together a single layer of denim embroidery or two pieces of denim. Even then, the finished carving surface was anything but tight and clean. To return.

Works great in an older home type machine with a leather needle.
