Review on ๐Ÿ” LAUNCH Creader 9081 OBD2 Scanner Code Reader with Advanced Diagnostic Functions: ABS Bleeding, Oil Reset, SAS TPMS, DPF BMS Reset, Throttle Matching, Tooth Learning, Anti-Theft Matching, Injector Programming by Solomon Baron

Does a lot, but not what they say. Terrible upgrade process.

I really wanted to do so much on the right machine but the update procedure, site and support are terrible. I bought this to work on a 2015 Subaru after inquiring with Launch. They said it would work to reset the e-brake. Well, on a Subaru it doesn't matter, it won't even reset the oil gauge, TPMS, brake bleed, SAS nothing. I've tried different honda models 2003, 06, 08, 2012, 2014, you can do a lot with honda (more than my old snap on mods from 2011), you can even remove and add keys, reset PCM, throttle position change and reset TPMS. NO ABS OR SRS. Roughly the same functionality in the later Toyota and Kia Nissan models. Managed to reset the BMW battery and oil gauge. Return and replace with Autel MD805 or Innova 3160. As it's only an OBD scanner it's overpriced, if other reset functions worked it would be nice. It's somewhere between an advanced DYI or a light general mechanic working on different makes of vehicle, but not as capable as a Foxwell or Icarley setup with single brand software.

Pros
  • High ratings for support and longevity from testers
Cons
  • There are bugs
