Review on ๐ŸŽฎ EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti XC Ultra Black Gaming - High-performance GPU with 6GB GDDR6 and Dual HDB Fans by Leo Puente

Don't buy a fan or it's a great card

Thermals and Cooling First, the single fan only provides good airflow through half the heatsink, the rest gets something but nothing notable. even with holes in the heat sink, which is supposed to let air through, very little goes through. This is most likely due to the vertical edges blocking much of the rest of the map. If the fins were oriented horizontally, the air would get onto a large portion of the radiator. I haven't used anything like FurMark or anything that blows up the card, but when playing GTA V at 1080p/60 on very high/ultra settings (using most of the card's abilities) it gets there most of the time 75ยฐC, still raises the frequency, but not as well as it could be. The fan spins at almost 3000 rpm to keep the card cool, resulting in high noise levels. When idling, it's only about 3 C compared to the outside world. Gaming Performance Gaming performance is a huge improvement over the 1050 Ti. I can play Ghost Recon Wildlands at 1080p with TAA and medium to high settings at 60 fps compared to my 1050 Ti, which should have had the lowest settings. 1080p upscaled to 80%. As for other games, it has very good frame rate/frame time in Battlefield 4, GTA V, Unturned can run at a max resolution of 4k, Car Mechanic Simulator, Borderlands TPS and 2, you name the game, you most likely can play it on medium to high settings. at 1080p 60fps unless poorly optimized or heavily graphically loaded. Price: When I bought the GTX 1660 TI XC Black, it was the only 1660 TI EVGA that was on Revain and was $280, while the GTX 1070s were $400 back then. , so it wasn't hard, but since the 1070 is between $200 and $250 I would have preferred that.
