Great for unusual installations
I wanted to install a new 55 inch TV on my old entertainment stand (from 2002) that I built for an old Sony Vega 24 inch that has since been a Weight a ton.. it was a CRT with a flat glass front.. I installed a pair of 2x4s between the top and 3rd shelves to mount the bracket which was more than enough as the new TV only weighed 38lbs and since the feet of the new TV were wider than the shelves, I had to use a wall mount. etc.
