The SECRET of Choosing an Ultrasonic Humidifier

First off, I honestly can't think of a better ultrasonic humidifier. I have zero complaints. Easy to fill, easy to clean, adjustable steam, no leaks. I've been using it almost constantly for several months and it's just as good as the day I received it. I fill the tank about every 8 hours depending on the vape setting. No big deal as it's very easy to fill. YES, buy this device BUT. Read on, there's a secret I'm about to reveal to you. As for the mysterious white dust that some reviewers complain about, it's the REGULAR TAP WATER they use and NOT the block itself that creates the dust. Tap water almost always contains a lot of minerals like calcium and lime, which create this white dust. When you vaporize ordinary unfiltered tap water, the water content humidifies the air, but the minerals are dislodged from the water vapor in the form of dust particles. You MUST use either distilled or filtered water (or buy separate filters) for ANY ultrasonic humidifier EVER made by ANY company if your tap water is even a little "hard" or you will always end up with white dust. A scientific fact that cannot be avoided. There is no filter in the kit, the manufacturer says you can use regular tap water in it. You can buy a filter for it separately to prevent white dust and limescale deposits in the humidifier if necessary. I only use distilled or reverse osmosis water in mine so I never get dust on the outside and hard water deposits on the inside. (Same goes for any appliance I add water to, such as an iron or coffee maker.) Now you know the secret!
