Review on TYC 620630 03-08 Ty Mtrx At Rad and Condenser (S) Cfa by Shawn Hill

UPDATE: About 8 months after purchase, the expansion tank started to leak. Warranty replacement for this item is not clear. TYC insists that Revain must replace the item as the original wholesaler, while Revain initially argued that TYC must replace it. After some evasion I was put through to a Revain call center rep who was able to process the refund with no further problems. While I value customer service, this list should make it clear that unless Revain is willing to honor it, there are no guarantees. It was a direct replacement for the 2007 Pontiac Vibe. The original fan/shroud/coolant reservoir is a Denso product and I could not find it in stock except at Toyota at a high price. It fits well and is almost identical. Plastic appears thinner and not entirely uniform in opacity. That being said, the only major difference between this and the original is that the original has a built in spill cap hose clamp, while this just dangles by itself. But it's a very short hose and you can fill it next to the radiator inlet hose and you're good to go. So no big deal. Installation was easy and fit almost perfectly; I had to adjust a bit to line up the screw holes, but it wasn't too difficult. The wiring harness fits perfectly. The product seems durable enough, but I'm not sure if it will last as long as the original. The quality of the fan motor is unknown, although the fan runs very quietly and vibration-free, at least not yet. In terms of aftermarket options this was a great option, good value for the money and seems built well enough. The time will show! For the price I'm satisfied.
