I received the Breville Barista Pro in the mail. The instructions were easy to follow. Not many steps to collect. It's also easy to use photos. The first thing you need to do is flush the system. I added water and a filter and made sure everything was in place. When I squeezed the lighted single cup to "flush" water through the system, it started running for about 2 seconds and then stopped flushing. Then it went back to the blinking "Flash" and there was nothing on the screen. I tried again; same result. I turned it off and on again, repeated and I had the same problem. I disabled it, enabled it again, repeated: same problem. Each time it would start a countdown from 10 to 8, then stop and go back to "rinse mode". I drained the water, added more and made sure the water was at the right level: same problem. It does not matter. Finally I called Breville support. I decided to leave my number for a call back. About 30 minutes later I got a call from a nice woman named "Alice". We had a hard time filming it together, but after trying all their options I came to the same conclusion. It wouldn't even let me go into the 'menu' for a hard reset. She told me there was something wrong with the electronics. She offered to send me a new car and I agreed. Hope to receive it soon. This is disappointing because it looked amazing. Very high quality product. But unfortunately it didn't work out and we have to wait for another one. Not a big deal, although you don't expect that from an $800 car. Long story short, mine didn't work, but Breville's customer service was pretty good and they sent me a new one. Can't wait to see how the next one does. ***UPDATED September 10th*** So Breville's customer service is pretty good. The only problem is that the machine replacement took longer than I expected. The day I reported the issue, I received an email saying I would receive a delivery confirmation email within 1-3 business days. Not me. It took 7 business days to receive a shipping confirmation/tracking number. It then took some time for UPS to deliver the goods. So it took 13 calendar days to get a replacement car. I wish it was sooner, but we're also in the middle of a pandemic, so. You must be patient and understanding. As for the car replacement: It's amazing. I love it. I make a fresh latte every morning and it's great. It feels like buying a $6 Starbucks latte from the comfort of my kitchen. Pretty cool. Also, the machine itself is practically protected from jerks. Very easy to use and set up. Great machine in every way! Highly recommended.
