Purchased to run PFSense without tons of power. It used to run a Xeon server, which was complete overkill. Installing PFSense was initially a difficult task as the device comes pre-installed with Windows 10. After logging into Windows 10 and going to Advanced Boot to boot from USB, you can easily overwrite the default (unlicensed) Windows 10 installation with a PFSense installation. Then the PF Sense boots come without any problems. The quad-port Intel NIC is one of the best features of this device, allowing you to expand it in the future if needed. The device is perfect for this use case and the price is spot on. Highly recommended.
