Review on πŸ–₯️ SunFounder Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen - Capacitive, 60Hz by Paul Tucker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good additional monitor for Youtube.

I chose this monitor to pair with my primary monitor (34 inch ultra wide). It sits comfortably on the bottom and allows me to watch YouTube while gaming or working. I have a larger monitor on the side, but it's too close to see the entire screen, causing me to crane my neck to the side instead of just looking at the small 10-inch monitor. The stand isn't adjustable, so it sits fairly straight with a slight angle. Because of the Raspberry Pi's mounting options, it's quite thick, so you might have trouble if you want to use a tablet stand or something else to give it more room to set up. Picture quality is fairly sharp, with some backlight blurring around the edges of the screen. . When I watch YouTube I don't notice it at all, but if you are a devotee it might bother you. It's also glossy, so in direct sunlight you can see everything behind you like in a mirror. The plug is larger than I would hope and makes it difficult to connect to my surge protector that comes with the cable manager. Also, if you intend to wear headphones, remember to switch the monitor output to headphones, otherwise the monitor speakers will default to use. It looks like it has a Vesa mount feature, so that's a plus for certain use cases (perhaps overhead monitor in a bunk bed). All in all a good pickup for the price and I'm very happy with it. I'm considering getting another one in the future if the price is the same ($100 when I bought it).
