My son is eight years old and has never had a scarf. They're a bit awkward for young kids in my opinion, but he was actually very happy to get his first. I was a little hesitant to order a brand I wasn't familiar with, but it was exactly what I was looking for. The price is right for that. It's a light weight that's perfect for our mild Southern California winters. I'm happiest with the length - it's long enough to wear around my neck but doesn't get tangled or drag on the floor. Generally a good winter accessory for kids. We have red and it's such a cute pop of color!
