First of all it is important to buy an air chuck in the right range. Air pressure gauges are most accurate in the middle of their range. If your tires weigh between 35 and 40 pounds, the ideal measurement is in the 80 pound range. This one is a little higher than that at 100psi, but I have light truck tires inflated to 42psi, so let's call it pretty close to perfect. Digital air chucks with a 200 or 250 psi range may seem like a better deal, but they are actually better suited for 100 to 125 psi applications, well above the range of most automotive tires. NO BATTERIES REQUIRED! Another bonus with analogue pneumatic cartridges. The 2-inch gauge has a clear, easy-to-read face with a luminescent coating for nighttime use. Out of the box I checked it on two different digital gauges and found no discrepancies. If you need half-pound (or better) accuracy, you'll need a digital air chuck, but for most cars and light trucks, a one-pound division is fine. Again, keep the print area in mind when working digitally. Industrial style quick connect (Milton "Mβ). When using Truflate (or any other system) you need to find the right fitting for your specific application. I love this air cartridge so much I bought two, one for my shop and one for my garage.
