This block is made of durable metal, not plastic or cardboard. The pads on the bottom prevent scratches on my glass table. It doesn't move on the surface at all. It is adjustable in several positions and locks securely. My Dell laptop measures 10" x 15" and sits firmly on two padded seats. I shake it and nothing moves, moves, or falls out of the bracket. Very happy with its durability and the fact that I don't have to tape or attach anything to the bottom of my laptop. I look forward to my next Zoom meeting and don't bend over to see split screen graphics while still in front of the camera.
