I have set up Google Mesh WiFi at home and was very nervous about ordering this pump due to the problems many users are having with connecting due to 2.4 -GHz vs. 5GHz tuning reported issue. My Google Wi-Fi is dual band and automatically switches between 2.4 and 5.0. I've researched online and read that 2.4 is good for distance but weaker signal and 5.0 is optimal when closer to the router but not good for distance. Based on that, I moved the donor and phone to the furthest point in the house away from the main router or router extensions. This forced Google WiFi to switch from 5.0 to 2.4 to maintain signal. The pairing was perfect then. I went and bought a second dispenser and did the same and it connected with no problems. I had to wait a few minutes for my phone to switch from 5.0 to 2.4, but once it switched I had no problems.
