Saved what I thought was lost
I found it very useful for merging drives. Being able to power much larger drives is very useful. I was able to merge five drives on a new NAS. I also reused three of those drives, saving enough money to cover the cost of the docking station. I have a laptop that literally caught fire. I thought the disc was burned. Turns out I was able to recover the files after disassembling what was left of the laptop. Without the dock I'm not sure I could recover the files
