Entertaining young children at PNW from late fall through spring is a full-time job. They should have variety and an open space that works without rain and mud. Given that our children live in rain and mud, there are times when you don't want them to be dirty or wet. This swing has been great for us so far as it allows our little one to step out onto the covered patio and listen to the falling rain while she swings. We'll probably switch her to grass for the summer, but until then, this is her space and she loves it. The swing has a weight limit of 440 pounds, but I wouldn't want to risk it. The legs and handlebars aren't very heavy, and for me (6ft 3in, 210lbs) I definitely moved my legs as I rocked gently. We don't have screws or anything, but we plan to add rubber feet to the bottom of your feet to prevent slipping. We also put a padded exercise mat underneath for extra protection and that seems to help with slips too. The instructions say: Don't use it on concrete, and that's probably why. It is slippery and obviously there is a higher risk of injury for children. But we never fully swing on them, for them it's more like a relaxing "swing on the terrace”. with real tools, not scattered wrenches. Grab a wrench and it will be easier. It took my wife and I about 45 minutes to put it together until we checked it out. We were in no hurry. One issue we had was that one of the bolts and screws holding the swing to the bar had stripped to the point where it couldn't be fully tightened. We tightened it up as much as we could and tested what worked, but ended up going to the hardware store to have it replaced. Not a big deal in the long run, but something that shouldn't happen with proper quality control. But with items like this it can happen due to the large number of screws and the like included in each package. As sad as it is. Overall, this is a fair price for a swing that can handle both toddlers and parents. We love having it as an option for our kids and their friends.
