On the other hand, good widths are an expensive pleasure in itself, and this zoom is much cheaper than all analogues. Did he replace my fixes? Yes, in a way. I left only light fixes with character in bokeh. But the entire line of the same "sterile" Sigma 2.8 is sent by forest, for example.
Pros
- Price - no comment Weight, dimensions - corresponds to the concept of the UPC-camera, does not disturb the balance, like kilogram glasses. Decisive point. Security - I'm not talking about rain - I don't believe in it and don't want to check it. But at least dust does not appear on the matrix. Sharpness right from the open - I have 24 MP, full frame, in most of the frame at 2.8 it is completely resolved. Focus speed - nothing outstanding, but I have no problems. The minimum focusing distance is a unique feature, often a very nice one. Integration - support for all functions of the E mount, no errors in BB and focus paired with the A7M2, which has such problems with some glasses. Holds backlight - no miracles, but worthy. Liquid - on the secondary market it almost does not lose value.
Cons
- The drop in contrast by 75mm is insignificant, but it is what it is. Bokeh without character - absolutely. After Zatz 24-70 2.8 it's even sad and boring, but these are completely different "weight categories". Glare in the bokeh is typical for a zoom, there are no miracles here. The wide end is narrow - probably the saddest thing. Zoom stepless - shots at 51mm, at 37mm - hello. It doesn't affect much, it's just a little annoying =). The materials seem cheap - he is unlikely to live 10-15 years. And this is a workhorse, for her durability is important.
