Review on Eurotech Seating LM59802A BLKL Slider Swivel by Katie Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good, expensive, better than anything in this price range.

In general the chair is excellent. The leather is of good quality and feels very comfortable. The pillow is on the firm side and is very supportive. There are few chairs that give you so much for this price. Key Features: Adjustable seat height, seat tilt with lock, adjustable seat tilt tension, forward seat tilt (for those who like to be close to the keyboard), back height (ratchet), back tilt with lock (any position). ), adjustable height and arm width. Assembly is easy, only 2 socket head screws and 2 head screws are required. There are 2 main disadvantages here. The rear isn't tilted far enough for my liking. There is only a maximum of about 20 degrees. It may not matter to everyone. Another problem is the forward tilt locking mechanism. You used a sliding lever and there is no tension so it falls out of the locked position. This sometimes results in an unexpected forward lean. My old Eurotech chair is very similar to this one. It had a high back, which was good, but I don't feel like I miss it that much. It also had the best mechanism for adjustments. However, a retractable seat (seat depth adjustment) was missing. The old chair had a 45 degree back! This made the chair feel amazing as it reclined. It also had a forward-leaning locking lever that had good tension and never left its intended position. Honestly I would have kept this old chair forever but the foam padding is worn out. But 15 years is impressive and none of the mechanical parts have come loose or broken. That says a lot about the build quality of Eurotech. As much as I liked this chair, I ended up choosing a different one. This chair is kept on a work table in my storage office as a backup and can even be used daily for some variety. I bought this discount chair for $185 and it was a real bargain! The regular price for Revain is around $285. At $285, this chair is worth every penny! (Now down to $329 but still true). You won't get a better chair unless you spend significantly more. To be honest I would probably pay $400 for it and feel perfectly happy. The chair I chose for my main and everyday chair is the Steelcase Leap. I'd say it's an unfair comparison given price and everyone's overall design goals are slightly different. Leap retails for nearly $1,000 for fabric and about $1,400 for leather. It can be customized up to $2000 if you want to get really trendy! If your budget allows, the $1400 version I got seems like a great value. This is high quality furniture with a 10 year guarantee. I have never regretted spending a lot of money for better quality that lasts. Leap is made mostly of powder coated metal and is a good weight! It also has some really advanced features that you won't miss unless you try them. For example, the backrest can be continuously adjusted in inclination, but also automatically locks into place wherever you stand, so that you don't have to make an effort to stay there. When you want to move forward again, simply lean forward and the chair will move with you. That's pretty amazing technology! The Leap can also be ordered with 4-way adjustable armrests and they are amazing! They move every which way they can and then stay there with medium tension. Finally, the Leap chair has an "ergonomic" design, and you really feel like someone made you a chair that fits your body. This is by far the best chair I've ever sat on. But again, the price is in a different league compared to this Eurotech. would easily cost 500€. Fix the Eurotech thing! But as it is it is a very good chair and a tremendous value. Compared to the average department store chair type, this is a lot better! I'm a very picky person, so if I'm happy with this chair, chances are you will be too!
