Excellent AM Reception - Surprise

I bought this radio on sale. I didn't expect much. A good comparison is that it looks like a smaller version of the Degen DE797 or Prunus DE333 models. Good choice to put in your emergency bag. It's a tiny radio. It fits in any trouser pocket, unless it's the tiny fifth front pocket of Levi's jeans. The sound quality is ok for what it is. Unlike the Degen/Prunus models, it doesn't have a lockable battery door, so yeah, that's something to lose. Because of its size, the knobs and switches are harder to manipulate - small, thin volume and tuner controls, and an AM/FM/OFF switch above the volume/off button. great at night. I was able to pick up long range stations that I normally couldn't pick up with the older Sony model. It was also the only radio that came into the house at CSFO during the day. FM seems good, but there's nothing unique about it. In general it was worth the money.

Whether you need it for yourself, your children or the elderly, this radio is perfect for delivering a concise, simple experience that requires little to no instruction.
