Review on ๐Ÿšฒ LEZYNE Sport Drive HP Bicycle Tire Hand Pump | 120 PSI High Pressure | Presta & Schrader Compatible | Sturdy Aluminum Barrel | Compact Road Bike Air Pump by Carlos Abood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very small package with lots of power

Most cyclists like me have always opted for CO2 pumps because the pumps are often either huge or small and almost unusable for practical use. This pump comes very close to the holy grail of bike pumps: it's tiny and can inflate tires to over 100psi without tiring you out. This pump is a winner. Here are my thoughts in detail: 1. It's obscenely small. As you can see from my photos, when mounted on a bike it barely reaches the length of the bottle cage. If you really don't want to clutter your bike for fashion reasons, it will easily fit in the average pocket of any jersey. The flexible screw on the hose makes pumping easier.3. There is absolutely no need for a bleed valve, just slowly loosen the portion of the hose that is screwed into the pump until extra air escapes, then unscrew the hose from the inner hose valve.4. Yes, expect to run the pump about 150 times to inflate the tire to 110-120 psi, but only the last 15 or so pumps will be difficult at all. What I do is pump up 25 times. Anyway, this is what you're looking for for different tires, sizes, and psi: Continental GP 400023 mm/100 psi = 153 pumps 23 mm/110 psi = 183 pumps 23 mm/120 psi per square inch = 213 pumps and a little tired forearm 25 mm / 100 psi / 110 psi / 120 PSI = add approximately 10-12 pumps to the number above. I also tested it on Vittoria Pro G Plus at 25mm, Vittoria Corsa Control G Plus at 25mm and Zipp Tangente Speed at 23mm with very similar results to the numbers above. , in the vast majority of cases, drivers rarely need to run their tires at maximum psi pressure. Unless you're 230+ you can easily get anywhere from 95-105 in the front to 105-115 in the back. In fact, anyone under 230 shouldn't run their front tires over 100psi and rear tires over 115psi, and that's especially true if you're running 25mm or even more, 28mm. The typical exception to this rule tends to be pretty much anything sold by Vredestein, which tends to have weak sidewalls and a recommended max pressure of 145-175, which is absurd, but that's another story. Bottom line: This pump is tiny and capable of inflating street tires to spec so you can continue your ride safely, not just as a pump to hobble you home with. Yes, you'll spend a little more time pressurizing your tires than a CO2 pump, but you won't be spending as much money either. Oh, and 2 cartridges, and the inflator runs about 130-140 grams, this pump weighs 105 grams; I think so.
