Review on Beadalon Artistic Wire 6 Prong Knitter by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well but see instructions for more information

This tool has no moving parts so several factors must be taken into account when evaluating. The "barrel" is a good size for my hand, but it may be more difficult for people with large hands to handle. What would be nice and cheap to implement would be a slot in the bottom of the handle to hold the starting end of the wire. It's only used for a few minutes when you start a new chain, but it would be useful. The only criticism I can think of is that the instructions don't mention that it's easier to pull one loop after the one where the wire ends. ' And it is not mentioned how to break the chain Once you've made the chain as long as you want, how do you "tie" the wire? Not to mention you can run the chain through a draw plate like Draw Plate Round 10-32 Gauge - SFC Tools - 28-625 to make the chain thinner and the loops smoother and longer! And the instructions show a chain with beads in the middle - "cage" made of wire with beads. How can you do that?

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required
