We installed a medium sized single stage cartridge filter (about $100) under a sink with a dedicated filtered water line and found that after only a few weeks the flow rate of the filter was significantly reduced. We changed the filter several times, always with the same goal. Although it was listed as specifically for reverse osmosis, I figured the pressure vessel was nothing special and ordered it anyway. Installed it right after the filter with no other installation changes and that was the end of our problems. Best of all, its effects can be felt well beyond 20 ounces to initially store, as it keeps refilling as we pour and we don't see any decrease in flow at all, even when we fill the carafe to 64 ounces. Recommended for all filter, reverse osmosis or standard cartridge applications. I have no idea what the person who says it "doesn't work" is talking about because it's literally just a water tank - if that doesn't improve flow out of the faucet then you have another problem in your water circuit or a Slow down a faucet (or maybe you accidentally put a tank in front of the filter?) because that should definitely allow you to maximize the flow rate for your device. No problem, small enough to fit anywhere and perfect for home use - highly recommend!
