Very happy with this product. We have a 2 story house with 2 and 4 year olds. Both of my boys are escapists and very destructive so I'm appalled at what they can run away from. Every time I think I'm one step ahead of them, they prove me wrong. When it comes to a two story house and windows, I have to get ahead of them for obvious reasons. I want her windows open to cool her room or just get some fresh air without having a panic attack because I fear the worst. The only reason I gave that 4 stars is because I would have preferred the baby gate style instead, I would have preferred this thing drilled into the wall and windowsill. Also, it's a bit thin in the middle BUT I know I'm paranoid about the worst that can happen and just wish there was the safest thing to do. I think it will work, he has good reviews so I'm going with him. Installed very easily, did it myself without a husband. So if I can do it, anyone can lol.
