I bought this for my very hairy mare to wear in the incessant rain in Portland, Oregon. But my girlfriend's horse needed it more, so we just put it on her very hairy gelding who tends to sweat under another turnout blanket when over 45 dry no sweat under at all update 3-21 has been washed twice in nikwax soap, still waterproof. also withstood the pasture mate nerd who likes to bite and play with blankets.๐
