I'll start by saying I've used Asus, Handy, Monitor, DVD drives etc for many years. Never had such problems. Anyone can play a bad role, but what matters is how they handle it. But everything changed with Asus. Indiana no longer offers qualified technical support. It is now a call center in the Philippines. I put the machine with M.2 in slot 1 and GT1030 in PCIe-X16_1. Bios said both were blank but the machine worked fine for about 2 hours. M.2 then became a read-only file system. Another hour and the ethernet stopped working, although both lights were still blinking when the cable was plugged in. Reading the reviews, I saw someone say their BIOS doesn't show an installed M.2. I submitted a technical report and got an immediate response that they are working on it. Then I received another email asking me to update the BIOS. But I still did it the same way. Then I received another email telling me to take everything out of the car and see if it was a POST. did this. It's not like this. I plugged in a video card to see what it was doing and nothing. Then I stuck a memory stick (into B2 according to their instructions) and it worked but with all the problems from 3am onwards. I was then told to install a new processor and power supply. For example, I have another $300 processor laying around right now. Then they sent me a whole list of settings for the BIOS. I did that, but whatever. M.2 or graphics card still didn't show up. In one place it said "Please select a GPU", in another place it showed an image with three empty PCIe X16 slots. So how did I see it if there was no graphics card? He said that M.2 is empty but M.2 is listed in the boot selector. They then sent me a two-page form to fill out so they could send it to their engineers in China. At this point I said I wasn't their tech support department and I didn't contract for a defective board, a refurbished used board, not to spend 10 hours fixing an obviously defective board from infant mortality. Revain is here to help. They sent me an RMA and I sent it back. Then I received another email from Asus. They're still working on it. I just got another email saying "To avoid GPU or M.2 issues, move the M.2_2 slot to the top M.2_1 slot. Shares M.2_1 bandwidth with PCIE slot 1_1/1_3. Make sure you have the latest BIOS and drivers installed for M.2. Third, remove and reinsert the M.2 drive and make sure it is properly installed." from previous material. A new BIOS was installed. Socket #2 had no M.2. How do you move a slot why did it work for 2 hours if installed incorrectly asus what happened to you this is not the company that was so great.
