Useful but not exactly inconspicuous

I've used this with my Nexus S and HTC One. It fits both phones, but the HTC One is almost too big so the case "puckers" to fit the phone. This is one of the pluses of a soft case that also comes with an insert. So if you have a thin phone, the insert will take up space in the case and prevent your phone from bouncing around when you travel. I have not used the dhti in the rain although the zip appears to be waterproof. I gave this 3 stars because the product works but is a bit irritating to the eyes. I'll try to remember to take some photos but there is a collar that attaches to the handlebars. From this collar comes an adapter that attaches the housing to the collar. I personally would prefer a lower mounting solution. One of the advantages of this adapter solution is that the cover can be folded down while driving and adjusted as needed. However, I generally find that it only needs adjusting when I drive over a bump and the mount slips under the weight of the phone and falls out of my ideal field of view. To be clear, I've never had a state where I was afraid my phone would be thrown on the sidewalk. Usually the phone slipping and shifting is a good enough indicator that I should tighten the case back onto the adapter (which is easily hand tightened and is only a minor inconvenience). You can see the images here to get an idea of what the collar + adapter + mount will look like: [.] I'll try to remember this to get a better idea of the mount on my bike , email me motivation! Overall, this is a pretty solid $20 case, but if I had to do it again I'd buy something stiffer and lower.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Expensive
