I compared it to my existing tubeless stans rim tape and apart from the color both were almost identical in feel, stretch and adhesion. What I can't say is how long this band will last. I can say that with multiple tire changes and sealant additions, my Stans-banded wheels have lasted over 4,000 miles. Also. Finding a leak in a wheel that ends in the rim tape is a real problem. I had this with the factory tape on my DT Swiss EX-1501 wheels (I used Stans tape to rewind them). Rewinding a wheel isn't something you want to do, and the famous gold standard costs about $6 more than this tape. Is it worth saving $6 on a set of wheels? maybe for some, but I probably won't use it on my bike. I will try on my son's bike and report back in half a year :).
