Review on πŸ’‘ 6 Pack of Dimmable Halogen Equivalent LED Lights by Manuel Brown

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall a good bulb but the 3000K version has daylight instead of warmer soft white

I bought 3000K bulbs (soft white). These were the only ones I could find that were remotely the same size as a G9 halogen bulb. They go well with my chandelier in the dining room, which is good. They are well constructed and coated in a clear silicone rubber compound. Light diffusion is good, but there is not a single point of light, as is typical for a halogen lamp, which is evident through the opaque white glass domes of our chandelier. They dim linearly with the halogen bulbs in the same fixture, but of course, like all LED bulbs, they don't get warmer when dimmed, so compared to halogen bulbs in the same chandelier, they become even more noticeably white, because halogen bulbs actually get warmer as they get dimmer will. My biggest complaint is that they are too white - more like daylight colour, although even at full brightness they are labeled 3000K compared to halogen bulbs in the same chandelier. They appear to be closer to the daylight color of 5000-6000K, which just doesn't work in a dining room chandelier. I would like the manufacturers of these lamps to understand that soft/warm lighting in the home is generally preferable to daylight almost everywhere. except maybe the kitchen. Dimmable lamps should not only be linear, but also get warmer when dimmed. that you will be satisfied with it.
