Review on πŸ”§ Revolutionary Motherboard Mainboard V1 1 5 with Custom Non-Standard Features by Jay Matlock

It's worth it! suitable for AM products

I bought one of these to replace my original board after seeing that this board came with newer firmware and was supposed to be 'quiet'. First, this board completely replaces the standard Ender 3 board and is plug and play, which is nice. It's also very, very quiet. Not sure how much this has to do with my stepper shocks in addition to this board, but the difference between this board and the standard is actually huge. Unfortunately the first board I received was DOA but customer service quickly worked with me and sent a replacement. It took a while for the replacement to show up, but once it was there everything worked great. Pros: - The packaging was very good. The board was housed in an anti-static bag in a padded box, allowing it to fully survive the rough shipping process. 1 to 1 replacement, just unplug the wires from the board, take it out of the case, insert the new board. and plug all cables back in. - This board is EXTREMELY quiet. I've also installed stepper dampers on the X, Y, and Z motors and I seriously can't hear them moving, but even with my extruder motor that doesn't have a stepper, I still barely hear anything when I look closely listen . The fans are now the noisiest part of the printer. I'm not sure how much this has to do with newer firmware, and it's entirely possible that flashing newer firmware on a standard board could have a similar effect. Customer support was excellent. They couldn't fix the original board but they were able to send me another one that works great. Cons: - The first fee was DOA. I am very happy with this purchase. I was initially skeptical of the whole "quiet" claim and really just wanted a spare board in case something happened to the first one, but they don't exaggerate how quiet this board really is. An absolutely worthwhile investment for your Ender 3.
