This mini air conditioner is great for home use. At maximum fan speed and setting #2 of 2 for "mist," it feels like 60°F. Even with the most powerful fan and below 90°F, it can feel chilly. It's not necessary to add ice for this effect, but it doesn't hurt to know that you've added ice. Very fresh look. I appreciate its portability because now I can use it next to me while washing dishes or doing other chores without messing with cords. It's also quite powerful, so its small size doesn't bother me. Other than that, I'm deducting a star for availability. I should point out that I don't live in an air conditioner so this also helped to help someone not exactly in the way of a window air conditioner.
