Received my filter today and broke it immediately. I'm weird and I actually read the instructions before I start using the device so I did it first. The basic setting is simple and there were no problems with it. Smart Life app has many options for devices. Automatic scanning didn't work for me, so I added the device manually. There is no exact picture or record for the Himox purifier. I selected "Small appliances" and "Air purifiers" in the "Environment" group. Once I did this, the device appeared in the app and I was able to set up the device in the app. I then checked the manual for instructions on how to turn the device on to my Alexa home system. They're not in the manual. Instead the instructions are on the Revain webpage and nowhere on the Himox website, at least I couldn't find them. Basically, in the Smart Life App, in the "Me” area, you can select "Additional Services”. If you select this, you can add a filter to Alexa, Google and a few other services. The device came out as an odd name that had no Himox or anything recognizable to me, so I renamed it "Bedroom Filter". Now when I go to the Alexa app I can't find the device (I know where all the devices are in the app and it's not there under any name). My Echo Show or Alexa devices also do not control the device. I went back to the Smart Life app to try adding it again but Smart Life tells me it's already connected and I can't find a way to remove it and try again. But since I wasn't really planning on using it over Alexa, just nice to have, I still think it would be a good filter.
