Took snorkeling on a cruise; So versatile you can have a short extendable selfie stick, add another 12 inch section, add a tripod mount, or have a tripod and a selfie stick. I mainly used it with my Olympus TG5 which is much heavier than the GoPro. He was just as hard and tough, even at full height. So light and compact you can carry it with you all day. I was a Coast Guard diver and am currently happy with the snorkeling but have to question the depth estimate on the floating stick piece. It is hollow with aluminum inserts and will leak or explode at some depth.
