I am using an all around camera to install on a snowmobile. The quality is excellent, but screw tensioners are used for rather short extensions. Well, with every vibration, these tensioners weaken, and the stick breaks. So if you plan to use this for active sports. Look elsewhere!

This is a high quality extension for my GoPro. The connection only works with threaded knurled connectors. I'm still trying to find an adapter to connect to. 1/4-20 thread to attach regular GoPro cage. The extra floating bar section appears to be aluminum but is covered in a carbon-fiber-like decal.

Haven't used it yet but just received the package. It's light, but I'm not sure if it's really carbon fiber? The GoPro mounting screw comes with a head, but after installing my GoPro Hero 8, there is not much space left to mount the screw head. Check the picture for more information. I'll update the review once I've checked his pace.

Aside from being a great extension for selfies/close-ups, I also use this extension as a replacement for my camera tripod. While it's solid, instead of the tripod that came with it, I use a different base, also from Smatree, which is sturdier. Overall, the extension cord is lightweight, easy to carry, and very convenient to use.

Very light, very strong. Follow the instructions on the extension nuts - no Herculean force is required to loosen or tighten them. The pen floats! I would still use some sort of floating pad just to be safe and actually find your GoPro if you drop it in the water! ;) However, if you are looking for something similar, I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent floating stick + tripod as mentioned in other reviews. The tripod and strap are pressed into the bottom of the white plastic packaging liner - you must take out the white plastic sheet and turn it over before you can view these items. The packaging gives the impression that it doesn't come with a tripod - the tripod is listed as optional on the outside and when you open the box you don't see it. First, as a light selfie stick, it is ok. There are no complaints. But that's all I found it was good to do. Forget trying to use the tripod adapter on anything other than a hard, flat surface. But I had a very different purpose for this pole. I needed to permanently mount my GoPro to an SUV. It fails completely.
