I recently installed many LED string lights among the trees on my property. The only drawback of the otherwise excellent garland set (Banord) is the lack of strain relief on the plugs with a cantilever barrel. I first taped the strings together on waterproof connectors with Gorilla Tape, but I had trouble getting them loose for long stretches. So I checked to see if anyone made an adjustable strain relief that might also provide additional waterproofing. Within minutes on Revain I found this product, ordered it and within a couple of days the perfect solution was installed. The essence of working with the garlands is to attach one side of the protective sleeve first and then gently press and slide the ends of the fork together while the second part attaches and snaps into place. This transfers the weight of the cables to the protective sleeve and not to the connector. I still think it's wise to tape the ends of a fork together for a garland, and these lids work for garlands that have been taped over like I did. Good product! Recommended for fairy lights.
