Three stars because we love the product but the size difference between S and M is too big and neither size fits our dog. The coat is charming and appears to be well made. It's also handy as it covers most of the dog's underside, which gets wet from splashes (a big problem with most dog coats). Although we liked the product, the size difference between S and M is too big for our dog who is between sizes. Both sizes technically fit (in the sense that we could put them on him), but neither fit practically. The medium was cute, if a little baggy, and would have protected him from the rain. Unfortunately, the bottom stretched too far and he was able to urinate into the cloak. Needless to say, this will not work. Since we really liked the raincoat itself, we tried it again and ordered an S (the next size down). Size S was too small. We were able to teach him, but with difficulty. Also, it only covered half of his body, so his back got wet from the rain. Too bad they didn't have a size between S and M. As an aside, our dog is a 13 pound Yorkie/Maltese mix. One caveat: Zippered dog coats need fabric on the inside to keep hair from getting caught in the zipper.
