Pros: Quiet Adaptability Efficiency Cons: Cleaning hose lines can be time consuming. 1 on a 75 gallon kio tank and the other on a 38 gallon tropical tank. Kio broke the long return pipe as it was cheap plastic. So I replaced it with a PVC version. Charcoal: Don't take and put in flake charcoal, use the granular kind. This will make for a cleaning nightmare. Use a media pack for this type. The granular type can be placed freely in the media basket without a bag and works great. Also, don't fill the basket with charcoal, 1/4 to 1/3 is fine.
