I bought a laser level (high quality so it doesn't fall down the stairs) to set up a shed on my basement wall and to hang pictures in the man cave. After a few days with the laser it became clear that a tripod would be very useful. After searching and reading many reviews, I settled on one that can be extended to the ceiling for added rigidity and support. This tripod is exactly what I needed. It may take a few uses to find the right combination of bars and positions, but once you've got it you'll wonder how you ever did without it.
