Review on Makita BO6050J Random Orbital Sander by Flavio Scarola

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Updated Rating: Unreliable

A complete beast. Not the most elegant of tools, especially if you're used to German tools like Metabo, but buy a pair of anti-vibration gloves and hit the town, because nothing grinds like this. It will polish your floor even faster than the large 3-head random orbit sander you can rent from Home Depot. thoughtful tool. The tool is great while it works, but now I've sent my second one back within a month. The second broke the same day I received it. The selector that turns on the forced rotation mode eventually fails and the tool is ejected. It's also a shame that Makita charges $70 to replace pads. This is an item of clothing. Bosch charges less than $15 for pads for its competing tool.

Pros
  • Ergonomic handle and side handle for comfort
Cons
  • Quick guide
