Review on πŸ”Œ Impressive IOGEAR Ethernet-2-WiFi Universal Wireless Adapter, GWU637: Efficient, Reliable, and Sleek in Black by Chris Prix

If your router has WPS, it's incredibly easy to get it working.

I was really hoping this would help boot the system up very quickly so I could plug it in later. It worked. My starting position was definitely suboptimal as there was a lot of heavy metal gear and line of sight for the signal, but it was still pretty good there. Bandwidth wasn't ideal there either, so I found a better spot upstairs where I had power and I just plugged it into the end of a 50-foot Ethernet cable. Coming out from behind the metal wall and big AC motors, throughput was great. I also wanted to wire as quickly as possible using two 50 foot CAT 6 cables joined with a butt connector. When I logged in and checked the connection, there was a noticeable loss of signal when using a wired line/jack compared to setting up the IO Gear wirelessly. That says a lot about how well this little thing works. It explodes. I think that's why it worked in a metal hole with lots of AC noise. It's really impressive. I have a single CAT8 line running but the throughput with IO Gear Dingus is so excellent that I'm really taking my time as I'm not at all sure it will be any better than this little thing. I set it up using the WPS button on the router, so that's all I can say. Potatoes can. That's great. I bought two and only used one, but I have a spare. These little things are wonderful.

If you have WPS on your router, it's shockingly simple to get running.
