The best thing about BMC AMI Data Extractor for IMS is that it has the ability to extract the data from the IMS data base and convert it to CSV format for further data analysis. It has a better GUI and it is quite easy to use. As I mentioned earlier, It does extract the data and convert it to CSV format but it doesn't convert the fields with dates. The IMS and the AMI data doesn't have data from the whole year. It has data from the last two years. The other issue is that it doesn't have a GUI for it. It is just a command line tool. It is not a very user friendly tool. To extract IMS data and convert it to CSV format for further data analysis. I used it for extracting the data for my research. I like that it is easy to use and can be used with the BMC IMS. The customer support is amazing. I did not like I had to install a new software for the extractor. However, the support team was able to get it installed for me. I have not found anything that I dislike about this tool. I have been able to extract data from IMS for many years now. This tool has made it so much easier to do that.
